We are finally replacing that ancient puke carpet into the basement. I ripped off the carpet, peeled of the vinyl, and scraped the stairs for an eternity. Then I resurfaced the steps with "Iron-ply"(wood), and glued and screwed it down.
405 pilot holes, 405 counter sinks, and 405 screws.
It was a bit of a chore...lot's of backbreaking hard work...and frankly...not much fun. Until that is, about half-way down the stairs. It was then I had the thought, that screws (intentionally) placed in proximity to the guide X's, looked like little stick men. My attitude changed immediately! All of a sudden I realized I was building a veritable army of little stick dudes! (ALL of them...screwed by me! Hah!) Probably why my back is so sore. X, as in RoboXecet...marks the spot. And as you can see...I had some fun after that. Hint....zoom in on the dude below the O.
So today, about all I did was clean up my tools and crap...OMG
Then I decided to take the day off from reno's, and went out and took some garden pic's. It snowed a bunch last night, and this morning, and was a good photo op. I can barely wait to buy a new camera...(it is my Birthday...so that's ok, right?) Hope you enjoy this last(?) batch of photos made with my beloved Sony camcorder !
I love this dude...he always seems to have such attitude, and in this photo, seems to be saying; "ahh shit....I am soooo tired of sitting out here in this *#%~^ snow."
He actually seems to be shedding a freakish rag doll tear in this shot.
