"opposite...the same...yet infinity in between"

Well...my favorite son and my favorite daughter have been blogging a storm of great photo's. So here's a long overdue blog pic from poppa.


 The February sun is a welcome thing to me. I am already enjoying some mild weather strolls around the yard thinking about garden upgrades and structures like decks, porches, pergolas and gazebos. It's nice to see the "terminator" between light and shadow shift a little more south everyday. I love light.

 Here's a pic I took of the Galileo Thermometer Sarah bought me for Christmas, each of which I love. The intent of the photo was to catch a representation of direct light, refracted light and shadows. Inspired by MrE of coarse! Each component can be thought of as different from each other...yet they are all created from the same. The "distances" between them could be considered infinite in the realm of physics.


 The title; " opposite...the same...yet infinity in between" is also a curious metaphor for the distance between myself and my kids...my Mom...and my brothers and sisters. Florida, two spots in Ontario, Alberta, and Naniamo BC. Quite a spread...hey? Barb and I are happy...but both sick. The (worst ever) Valentine gift from  me was this nasty headcold.! Thankfully we have each other to care for...."pass the Kleenex".
